Fortnite Season Three Brings All Kinds of Additions

Fortnite Season Three Brings All Kinds of Additions

Season Three of Fortnite has officially kicked off with the most recent update to the game. All kinds of changes have been made to the game’s two different modes: Battle Royale and Save the World. One major change is the ability to play the game at 60 frames per second on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4 Pro, Xbox One, and Xbox One X. This replaces “Uncapped” mode, but you do have the option to choose 30 fps play if you like in the settings menu.

Other major changes to the game include a brand new soundtrack. If you’re enjoying Save the World mode, all of the music you hear will be brand new. For Battle Royale, the menus for the lobby, login, and launch have remixes from the new soundtrack. It’s about an hour long if you played it end to end, and was created by Marco Beltrami (composer whose work includes Logan and The Hurt Locker ), and Pinar Toprak (composer on the Krypton TV series, and some for Justice League ). Color Blind mode has also been added to Fortnite via a new accessibility tab in the options menu. Epic Games requests that color blind players give them feedback so they can better improve this option in the future.

Last but certainly not least, Fortnite has had some major changes when it comes to building. You can put buildings pretty much everywhere, including through trees, rocks, or cars. Running out of a certain build material will now automatically switch to the next available one. The other biggest change is that by holding down the Primary Fire button you can continuously place whatever building material you are working with. This can of course be turned off if you wish, just deselect “Turbo Building” in the menu.

Additions via Update 3.0.0 for Battle Royale in Fortnite include the Hand Cannon. This can be found in Floor Loot, Treasure Chests, and Supply Drops. It uses heavy ammo, and falls under the Epic and Legendary level of rarity. The Crossbow that was added for Valentine’s Day has lost its lovely skin. Grenades will no longer be able to Crit. And an exploit for the Pump Shotgun has been corrected. Now when you switch to the Shotgun, you’ll have to pump it before you can shoot.

Moving on to Save the World! Players can now celebrate the Lunar New Year with new quests and other fun things to do. Once you complete the event you’ll be rewarded with a Dragon Weapon of your choice. Fortnite fans will also be able to venture around on a Hoverboard. You can get it after finishing a new tutorial, specifically the Stonewood Homebase Storm Shield Defense 5 quest. A Bald Eagle Hand Cannon is now up for grabs from the Weekly Store. Apparently it is the most powerful hand cannon to be added to Fortnite to date!

There are even more small details that have been added into Fortnite in this 3.0.0 update. You can check the full patch notes over at Epic Games’ website.
