Fortnite Introducing Limited Time Mode with 5 Teams of 20

Fortnite Introducing Limited Time Mode with 5 Teams of 20

Anyone familiar with Fortnite will already know that the free-to-play game features limited time modes here and there. The announcement for the most recent mode has blasted onto YouTube, and its quite the doozy. This new limited time mode will feature 20 v 20 v 20 v 20 v 20. Yup, five teams of 20 different players battling it out to be the ultimate winners. This mode will become available for all Fortnite players starting tomorrow on March 8, 2018.

This isn’t the only news to be released by Fortnite developer’s Epic Games related to their limited time modes. Apparently, they’ve been making these modes one of the top focuses during the development at this moment in time. They have plans to bring about “a dozen or so” of these special and unique modes in what we can only assume is the near future. They’ve also stated that they’re going to use limited time modes as a sort of testing ground for new Shooting Models.

Of these dozen or so future modes, Epic Games had a few to announce right off the bat. They plan to have shorter matches, dubbed Blitz Mode. They are also looking to test out some that have to do with the circle, like setting less time in between them, or having players drop into the first one. Epic Games also plans to further test out a 50 v 50 mode. Some of the additional details they want to test there are a bus for each team, showing squadmates on the map, and more supply drops. Thanks to this mode (and almost certainly the five teams of 20 mode), Epic Games is also going to play around with other limited time modes that have team sizes in between 50 v 50 and squads.

Are you going to jump into a 20 v 20 v 20 v 20 v 20 match? Or are you looking forward to some of these other potential modes more?
