If you can believe it, the team behind Tom Clancy's The Division, has just announced they are working on the sequel. Two years after the release of the original Division, Massive Entertainment stated they are working together with Ubisoft Annecy, Redstorm, Reflections, Ubisoft Bucharest, and Ubisoft Shanghai. All together they will bring The Division 2 to fans everywhere.
More information regarding the sequel will be made available during E3 2018 in June. According to Massive, they are using all the feedback they gathered from fans during the two year development period of The Division, and integrating that into The Division 2. All that time players spent on the Public Test Server will be supposedly put to good use. An updated version of the Snowdrop Engine will be used in The Division 2, in order to make it even better than the first.
Amazingly enough, this news is one of those gifts that keeps on giving. Massive is not only working on The Division 2, they are also continuing support for their first game. The Division is set to receive two more title updates. One will bring Xbox One X users 4K and 1080p support. There will be even more Legendary missions. Two new Global Events will be held. And finally, Massive is also introducing “Crests.” These will be achievements players can unlock which will reward them in The Division 2 when it releases.
For more information on The Division 2, you'll have to wait until E3!
