As always, Nintendo really shot for the moon with their Direct. Super Smash Bros . was announced for the Nintendo Switch, Splatoon 2 is getting an expansion, and Crash Bandicoot’s N. Sane Trilogy is heading the system’s way. While that’s all well and good, there are plenty of other smaller announcements that might have gotten lost in the shuffle. Here are a few of those Nintendo Direct reveals.
South Park: The Fractured But Whole isn’t going to be just for everyone else anymore, as the Nintendo Switch is getting it too. The release date for South Park: The Fractured But Whole on Nintendo Switch is April 24. Switch users can also buy the Season Pass for DLC, or purchase each separately.
Little Nightmares has absolutely blown up since its original release. Which is why it should come as no surprise that Nintendo wanted to get in on that action too. Little Nightmares: Complete Edition is heading to the Switch on May 18 with all of the game’s DLC. There’s even a neat little reward for scanning the Pac-Man amiibo, if you have it.
Few games benefit more from touch or motion controls than that of Okami . So it’s especially exciting that Okami HD will be coming to Switch systems sometime this summer. Players will be able to control the Celestial Brush with the Joy-Con’s motion controls in TV/tabletop modes. If touch controls are more your style, you can do that too in the Switch’s handheld mode.
Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker is getting dual releases. This cute title will be simultaneously releasing on the 3DS and Switch on July 13. Players will be able to experience it cooperatively with a friend using the Joy-Cons. One serves as the movement controls for Toad, while the other handles shooting and attacks. These two versions of Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker will also have a brand new level inspired by Super Mario Odyssey ‘s New Donk City.
Fans of Hyrule Warriors will be able to get their hands on the Definitive Edition of the game for Nintendo Switch beginning May 18. This will have everything from the original: DLC maps, characters, and missions. Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition will also have local multiplayer between you and a friend.
Most of that news was for the Nintendo Switch, but there’s at least one epic reveal for the 3DS. The cult classic Luigi’s Mansion is getting a remake for the handheld. It’ll include a map of the mansion displayed on the lower screen, as well as a Boss Rush mode. Luigi’s Mansion is set to come out some time in 2018.

- ARMS US & Canada Online Open Tournament (Switch) will be held until March 18, with the Finals being March 31
- Dillon’s Dead Heat Breakers (3DS) releases May 24
- Sushi Striker: The Way of the Sushido (Switch/3DS) comes out June 8
- Mario Tennis Aces (Switch) arrives June 22
- Octopath Traveler (Switch) launches July 13
- WarioWare Gold (3DS) appears August 3
- Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes (Switch) will be out in 2018
- Mario & Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story + Bowser Jr.’s Journey (3DS) is coming in 2019
- Undertale (Switch) will show up eventually
