Xbox Moving and Expanding at E3 2018

Xbox Moving and Expanding at E3 2018

Microsoft’s Xbox division has made a very surprising move regarding E3 2018. The gaming giant will be leaving the Los Angeles Convention Center almost completely and taking over the Microsoft Theater instead. This is located at L.A. Live, which is right across the street from the LACC. According to a blog post from Major Nelson, the extent of Xbox’s presence at the LACC will be a booth for Mixer, their streaming service. This booth will give E3 attendees the chance to play games, stream them, and watch E3 news live.

At the Microsoft Theater, Xbox will be hosting all of their hands-on gameplay and demos that are usually located in the LACC. There will also be some Xbox FanFest events. The Microsoft Theater will also be home to the Xbox E3 2018 Briefing. This is taking place on June 10 at 1pm Pacific Time.

This move will come as a surprise and a bit of a shock for regular E3 attendees, as Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo always held some of the biggest show floor presences. Things might feel a little empty in the LACC without the gigantic Xbox section. Surely E3 will find plenty of new booths to fill that space, but it definitely marks a major change. More and more events and companies are moving to exterior buildings, rather than being located in the LACC.

Are you attending E3 this year and hoping to check out what Xbox has to offer?
