PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Released on Mobile Devices

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds , the battle royale game continuing to take the world over one Twitch stream at a time, has released on mobile platforms in the United States. The game, known as PUBG Mobile, is available on both Android and iOS for free on the Google Play and App Store, respectively.

PUBG Mobile , from Chinese media giant Tencent, presents itself as a “perfect” recreation of the original PC version of PUBG . Of course, like the Xbox One version, there are some control changes to make up for the limitations of the platform. The mobile versions features the ability to automatically pick up items, aim assist, and of course a variety of on-screen controls. The game also natively includes voice chat.

PUBG Mobile does require at least iOS 9, but does support iPhones as old as the 5S. For comparison, the mobile version of Fortnite: Battle Royale needs at least an iPhones 6S in order to run. The Android version supports over 500 models, and the Google Play listing recommends Android 5.1.1 Lollipop and at least 2 BG RAM.
