Fans of the Yakuza franchise have been let down a lot lately, as Yakuza 6 was delayed and the free demo for it was snatched out from under their noses. It’s time to finally rejoice, as that demo has been made available once again. There’s also a dynamic Yakuza 6 theme for PlayStation 4 users to download for free.
If you haven’t heard, the Yakuza 6 demo did not get removed from the PlayStation Store for no reason. The demo actually had a glitch that allowed players to go through the entire game for free. Since Yakuza 6 isn’t supposed to be released until April 17, 2018 and should cost $60, it makes sense that Sega took it down as fast as possible. It’s great that they have finally fixed this though, allowing interested parties to take a look at Yakuza 6 ahead of time. The demo will now only allow you to play through the Prologue.
What’s neat is that the progress you make in this Yakuza 6 demo will be transferred over to the full game if and when you buy it. If you’re still interested in giving it a try, you can download the 36.53 GB Yakuza 6 demo from the PlayStation Store.
