Relapsed Final Fantasy XIV Players Get Free 4 Days of Play

Square Enix is offering up a few days of free playtime in Final Fantasy XIV for players who have been absent for a while. This is an attempt to bring back older players now that the game has seen a few major updates. The free period will allow previously inactive players to enjoy another four days of the game for free.

Certain eligibility requirements must be met in order to receive the four days free play time. You have to already own and have a registered account for Final Fantasy XIV . Said account has to have been inactive for at least 30 days. You have to be in good standing with Square Enix and Final Fantasy XIV , so no canceled or suspended accounts will be eligible for the free playtime. The four days will last from the moment you log in. So if you start up Final Fantasy XIV March 29, 2018 at noon, you will only be able to play for free until April 1, 2018 at 11:59pm. At the end of that free period you will be logged out and must sign up for a subscription again to continue playing.

Any existing Final Fantasy XIV player have between yesterday March 27 and Sunday May 6 (at 7:59am) to take advantage of their free playtime. It’s not entirely clear as to whether players will be automatically signed out on May 6 at 7:59am, or if players can live out their free four days after the campaign’s end. So to be safe, it would make sense to start your free days on May 2 at the latest.

If you decide halfway through your free days that you really can afford that Final Fantasy XIV subscription again, you’ll want to wait until the end of the four days. Anyone who starts up a subscription at any time during their free trial will forfeit the rest of the days.
