Fortnite 30 FPS Mode Obsolete on Consoles

Fortnite 30 FPS Mode Obsolete on Consoles

Fortnite players looking to stay updated on their favorite game will find it important to know that version 3.4 has gone live as of yesterday. Two intriguing changes made this time around include the removal of 30 frames per second mode on Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The team believes that the other GPU optimizations they’ve made make 30 FPS mode obsolete. This also includes improved “texture filtering sharpness” for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 users, as well as better texture resolution on Xbox One.

There are plenty of other awesome additions to Fortnite in this update, including a new guided missile weapon. Also included is the Egg Launcher season item (an Easter themed Grenade Launcher). There’s a brand new limited time mode as well, Sniper Shootout v2. This has a hunting rifle and crossbow added this time around, while the revolver has been removed. Save the World gets a new questline, “The Three Husketeers,” which concludes the Spring It On! event. This includes two new heroes: Rabbit Raider Jonesy and Miss Bunny Penny.

Crossplay on console has gotten plenty of improvements: Party Finder includes Epic Friends on other platforms, you can send/receive/respond to crossplay Party Invites, and you can add/remove/manage Epic Friends from the main menu. The mobile version of Fortnite has a gaggle of updates as well, including an “unsupported device” message for platforms that cannot run the game. The message clarifies that only iPhone SE, 6S, 6S Plus, 7, 7 Plus, 8, 8 Plus, X, iPad Mini 4, Air 2, 2017, and Pro can run Fortnite .
