Is the Spyro Collection Finally Getting Announced Soon?

People are getting real antsy about Spyro the Dragon . It’s pretty much common knowledge that Activision is prepared to announce a collection of Spyro remakes, much like the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy set that launched and sold like, uh, something really popular. But after several leaks and tipsters being foiled by changing marketing plans, the gaming community is expecting that announcement literally any second now. So of course, something weird happened to IGN to make people foam at the mouth even more.

Yesterday, a mysterious package showed up at the giant gaming outlet, and inside was a purple, scaly egg. A note came with it, with “something’s about to hatch” written on it in very Spyro font and signed by a “Falcon McBob.” Google that name, and you’ll find a protected, unverified Twitter account with “SpyroTheDragon as the handle.

In other news, Pixelpar on Twitter has also been watching the Spyro the Dragon domain, and noticed the DNS has changed from AWS to Akami, the latter being from where the vast majority of Activision’s site come from. Seems like things are finally getting ready to go down.
