Fortnite Changes Update Schedule

Fortnite Changes Update Schedule

Fortnite has undergone all kinds of behind-the-scenes changes recently. Epic Games announced that patches for the game will be shifted to a once every two weeks schedule. There’s a joke there somewhere about the updates being every two weeks and the name of the game being a riff on the word “fortnight.” But anyway, Fortnite will still get new “content updates” every single week. These will not require an update.

This week version 3.4 of Fortnite also went live and it added just a handful of new things, but those are equally exciting. First off, the Easter Egg Launcher will be there to stay in Save the World mode. Battle Royale has a new limited time mode: High Explosives v2. For this mode, friendly fire is off, and all non-explosive weapons have been removed. Should make for plenty of insanity filled matches.

Another cool addition to Fortnite version 3.4 is weapons with First Shot Accuracy. Basically if you aim your weapon while standing still, for the first time in a while, you will get 100% accuracy for one shot. The weapons that have been given this ability are as follows: Suppressed Submachine Gun, Tactical Submachine Gun, Pistol, Suppressed Pistol, Revolver, Hand Cannon, Assault Rifle, and Burst Assault Rifle.

The last and final addition to Fortnite ‘s most recent update is the inclusion of Vending Machines. These will be found at different spots on the map and will randomly display three items with different rarities. Each of the three items will be “purchasable” with a different kind of material (wood, stone, or metal). Common items will cost 100 materials, uncommon 200, rare 300, epic 400, and legendary 500.
