It seems like LawBreakers is as done as it gets, and developer Boss Key is not only acknowledging that, but moving on to a new project. In a blog post, the developer released a statement that admits LawBreakers failed to gain or maintain an audience, and the company will not be able to sustain the game as was originally planned. The post alludes that LawBreakers will be supported as it currently is, but in terms of adding new content or swapping it to a freemium structure, neither is in the cards anymore.
The statement does say that Boss Key intends to try to find a second wind for LawBreakers , but in the meantime, Boss Key will move its focus to new projects with ”fresh creative leaders.” The company says it has a new “passion project” in the works, that the developer has complete control over it, and that the team is excited to share more information.
