PUBG Patch Makes Big Changes to Blue Zone

PUBG Patch Makes Big Changes to Blue Zone

PUBG Corp has announced a new patch coming to PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds , that looks to make pretty big waves in the overall pace of the average PUBG game. These changes center around the blue zone, or the gradually shrinking boundary that makes the map smaller, and forces surviving players to engage at the end of a game.

The patch, basically, speeds up the rate of the blue zone’s shrinkage in the early moments of a game, and then slows it down over time as the mid and late game approaches. This change should have a significant change to how players play PUBG , as the blue zone is the primary actor that forces players to move and adjust their strategy as the game progresses.

Now, players won’t be able to comfortably dash towards the middle of the zone and take their time looking in the early moments of a PUBG round. Players won’t really be able to focus on building up a stationary holdout until much later. But, in those later phases players will still have to be careful, as while the blue zone slows down, it will also do much more damage after the patch.
