Epic Removing Guided Missiles from Fortnite

Epic Removing Guided Missiles from Fortnite

While riding on top of missiles has been great for streaming and other video content, it hasn’t been great for balanced rounds of Fortnite . After some struggles to get it right and a new bug rearing its head as a result, Epic has opted to remove the weapon entirely for now.

With patch 3.5, the guided missile was supposed to be nerfed, because players felt it was far too powerful. Instead, the patch broke the weapon’s animations, rendering it functionally pointless. Epic then temporarily disabled it, but after lots of anger from the fanbase, it’s gone.

Epic stated that it’s aware of all the feedback over the guided missile’s fairness, and that the weapon is now in the proverbial “vault” so Epic can take its time figuring out how to make it work better behind the scenes.

Epic is also planning to address the infamous “dick bullets” glitch, along with further adjustments to weapon swapping, which is another point of contention with Fortnite fans.
