Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition Is Dying

Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition Is Dying

Anyone who hasn’t already purchased the Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition , who has really wanted it for ages, will want to hop on it soon. As of May 8 at 4pm PT/7pm ET, Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition will be delisted form the Steam store. This doesn’t mean Dark Souls is disappearing forever. It’s rather the contrary, Prepare to Die Edition will be replaced with Dark Souls: Remastered on May 25.

Anyone who currently owns Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition on PC (or buys it before May 8)  will always be able to download it from their Steam library, even after it is delisted. Bandai Namco Entertainment America is offering an additional special bonus for current Prepare to Die owners, a 50% off loyalty discount for Dark Souls: Remastered . That’s pretty neat!

So if you already own Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition , be prepared for an awesome discount, as well as the replacement of the title on Steam. Anyone who doesn’t have any intention of owning the Prepare to Die Edition will be able to purchase Dark Souls: Remastered for $39.99 starting May 25.
