New Arcade Mode Comes to PUBG Mobile

New Arcade Mode Comes to PUBG Mobile

The mobile version of PlayerUknown’s Battlegrounds has been all about accuracy, and so far has matched the console/PC versions of the game. But full rounds of PUBG can run pretty long, which doesn’t always line up with the appeal of mobile gaming. Now with the latest update, a new mode has been added to PUBG mobile that should serve as a solid middle ground.

The new mode is Arcade, and has launched for both the iOS and Android versions of PUBG . The mode is intended to cut the average PUBG game down from 10 to 20 minutes, to 5 to 10. This is accomplished through cutting the scale of the game, shrinking the size of the safe area and dropping the number of players down from 100 to 28. This not only cuts down the time of the game, but also helps pairs and squads group together and get into the action as a team more easily.

A few other modes have been added, that serve more as silly distractions than full alternate ways to play. Most of these modes restrict the game to one type of weapon, and another makes high-level loot drop more and faster. A training grounds mode was also introduced, which lets players test out all the weapons.
