Dragon Ball FighterZ Getting 2 New Modes

Dragon Ball FighterZ Getting 2 New Modes

On May 9, 2018, a new, free update will be released for Bandai Namco and Arc System Works’ hugely successful fighter, Dragon Ball FighterZ . The update not only fixes bugs and adjusts the game for balance, but also introduces a group mode adjustments and new gameplay features.

The two major additions are FighterZ Cup and Party Battle. FighterZ Cup is a new, monthly event that will see players join and then fight for a “Z-Union.” This will let them earn points and eventually rewards. Party Battle is a co-op mode, in which three players will join together to take down bosses.

Following that is a massive, massive list of bugfixes and gameplay changes. Replay Channel has been adjusted to be able to display those changes, and Combo Challenge and Training Mode were also adjusted to account for these changes.

Maybe of the gameplay changes that weren’t glitch fixes were nerfs to some of the characters, including Android 16 and Adult Gohan. Oddly enough, high-tier characters like Kid Buu and Cell came out largely unscathed, which has caused some fun reactions from the community.
