Killer 7 Coming to Steam

Killer 7 Coming to Steam

Killer 7 , arguably one of Suda51 and Grasshoper Manufacture’s best (or at least most critically well-received) games in its long history, is being re-released for the first time since its release in 2015. Grasshopper Manufacture announced the release for Steam in the fall, with Disgaea ’s NIS America publishing.

Game Informer reported that the developer stated Killer 7 ’s visuals scale well to modern resolutions, and that mouse and keyboard ontrols will be added. NIS America’s press release states the game’s visuals will be “perfectly ported to modern machines.” This language could mean this release is more of a scaled-up port than a remaster, but no specs are currently available.

A bit of controversy has risen since the Killer 7 port was announced. A fan on Twitter noticed, during a trailer shown at Momocon 2018, some footage showing a familiar FPS counter, namely the one from popular GameCube and Wii emulator Dolphin. Whether or not that’s due to hasty trailer making or something more substantial remains to be determined.
