Some players played hours upon hours of Destiny 2 recently, due to the promise of a powerful reward called the D.F.A. It is a hand cannon that is considered one of the best items in the game. It was supposed to be part of the game’s Nightfall strike, but players who endeavored to get the item may have wasted their time due to a glitch.
One fan wrote on Twitter that he grinded for 16 hours to try to get the reward and isn’t looking forward to the possibility of having to repeat that. All in all, the fan says it amounted to 88 completions of the strike. Polygon’s writer, Ryan Gilliam, also reportedly spent a whole lot of time grinding for the weapon.
Meanwhile, Bungie is saying they are actively investigating the problem but there is no answer as to what kind of resolution they have planned. It is very possible that, in the end, some players really will have only wasted their time.
