Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey Officially Announced

Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey Officially Announced

Once again, the newest entry in the Assassins’ Creed series was leaked by Ubisoft itself, when keychains for Assassin’s Creed Odyssey appeared at retailers well ahead of E3. Last year’s Assassin’s Creed Origins , in case you forgot, was leaked by way of t-shirts showing off the new main character. Now, Ubisoft has straight up confirmed the game’s existence and title, along with the setting.

The official Assassin’s Creed Twitter “broke” the news, and even provided a little video clip. It shows what appears to be a Greek soldier booting a man off the edge of a clip, ancient 300 meme-style. And, of course, if we go by the leaks following the fateful keychain, we are not surprised to see the setting confirmed as Ancient Greece.

For now, that’s all we have. The Tweet says “see you at E3,” and anyone who has paid attention to E3 should know that the presence of Assassin’s Creed is practically mandatory. I’m more curious about the release date myself, specifically if it’s a 2018 game, or 2019.
