Yo-kai Watch Blasters Is Leaving Japan

Yo-kai Watch Blasters Is Leaving Japan

Nintendo has revealed two new entries in the Yo-kai Watch series, this time a pair of co-op, action spinoffs. Yo-kai Watch Blasters , split into two, Pokemon -like versions, is set to release on September 7, 2018 for the 3DS “family.”

The two versions of Yo-kai Watch Blasters are called Red Cat Corps and White Dog Squad . Of course, the different versions contain different Yo-kai creatures, missions, and even bosses. Trading is possible between the two, so players can fill out their respective lists by playing with friends. Additionally, linking these games to the previous Yo-kai Watch 2 titles via save data will entitle players to special Yo-kai.

While the core Yo-kai Watch games are turn-based RPGs, Yo-kai Watch Blasters is a real-time action RPG. Players directly control their Yo-kai of choice, use skills, and kit them out with equipment. The press release also states there are over 400 “new and returning” Yo-kai.

After Yo-kai Watch Blasters is released, a free update to the game will add new side stories, Yo-kai, bosses, and missions.
