WWE 2K19 will, big surprise, feature an exclusive pre-order character. This is according to 2K games, because it is 2018 and pre-order bonuses are just a given. It was also presumed that Rey Mysterio’s inclusion in a wrestling game was also a given, but, being that he is now only included if you pre-order, what do I know?
The wrestler is an iconic part of the WWE’s legacy and has recently returned to the rings of the hyper masculine soap opera known as professional wrestling. Perhaps the buzz around his return is what makes him such a good pre-order character? Honestly, I can only speculate because, again, it seems like an odd choice.
Then again, he is beloved, and locking him behind a pre-order is a good way of twisting people’s arm. If the character is an important part of the roster for you, you have until October 9, 2018 to pre-order because that is when WWE 2K19 will be released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
