The Binding of Isaac: Four Souls Is a Kickstarter Success

The Binding of Isaac: Four Souls Is a Kickstarter Success

To the surprise of nobody, The Binding of Isaac: Four Souls has made its Kickstarter goal and then some. The successful campaign for a new card game based on the massively popular, roguelike shoot-em-up asked for $50,000 and is nearing $650,000 as of June 29, 2018. Stretch goals have been introduced, but in a fun, memetic way that has nothing to do with money and more to do with shenanigans and fun within The Binding of Isaac Fandom.

The stretch goals have been presented in waves and based on the descending locations in the Binding of Isaac games. They have been blocks of five goals each, with four of them being social media and fandom-oriented, and the fifth being an actual Kickstarter milestone. Notably, each block of goals only needed four of five to be successful, but that hasn’t stopped two full sets seen to completion, with a third on the way. So far the stretch goals have unlocked two new character cards, Eve and Samson, and two new item cards, Blood Lust and The Curse.

The Binding of Isaac: Four Souls will launch in November 2018, hopefully.
