Todd Howard Slams Sony Regarding Fallout 76

Todd Howard Slams Sony Regarding Fallout 76

There was a controversy the other day, when owners of Fortnite for the Nintendo Switch realized they couldn’t bring their Epic accounts from the PlayStation 4 over to their new console. This led to a discussion of Sony’s view on multiplatform views which is, well, not positive. Todd Howard of Bethesda has made a comment on the ongoing issue.

In fact, he kind of slammed the company because, in his eyes, it would be nice for the upcoming Fallout 76, which has a multiplayer mode, to be multiplatform. As the creative leader and director for the company, he said “We’d really love that but right now we can’t. Sony is not as helpful as everyone would like.”

In response to the Fortnite issue, Sony has mentioned that they are working on things. In the past, Microsoft has gotten flack for a similar mentality in regards to games like Final Fantasy XIV but the issue with that might be derived from additional subscription costs on top of their own services. They have since changed their minds regarding most games, it seems. Hopefully Sony catches up.
