Dead Island 2 Is Still a Thing That Exists

Dead Island 2 Is Still a Thing That Exists

Dead Island isn’t a name that fills me with a sense of trust, only because its original trailer was so dramatic and emotionally impacting, then the actual game turned out to be a fun-filled romp around a zombie island. Which is fine! It was just not what I was expecting. And I am not sure what I am expecting from Dead Island 2, but, thanks to a recent tweet, I can at least say I am expecting it to be released.

The developers have been quiet about the project for a long while. When a tweet regarding the launch of Dead Island: Survivors for iOS and Android made its way around Twitter, perhaps players were wondering where the company’s priorities were. One users asked, plainly, “what about Dead Island 2 ?” The official twitter account responded by saying “ Dead Island 2 is still in development and we will share more on this at a later stage.” That’s good news. And I trust them.

My only caveat is that, when the trailers start coming out for this game, they better not be melodramatic stuff that makes me feel the deepest and darkest of emotions unless the final product is poised to punch me in the heart. I’m a fun guy. I like a bit of chaos and silliness in games. Especially when they are, as Dead Island 2 is, featuring “seamless multiplayer for up to eight players who cooperate, compete or simply coexist in a truly social, new-gen multiplayer experience.” New-gen? I somehow haven’t heard that term before but it sounds like a big deal so, in response, I must proclaim, ‘Heck yeah!’
