Fortnite ARG Leads to Llama Sightings in Europe

Fortnite ARG Leads to Llama Sightings in Europe

Fortnite ’s fifth season is days away, and Epic Games has been running an ARG in the lead up to the release. It started with the Durr Burger mascot disappearing from Greasy Grove in the game, then reappearing in real life in a desert. This would lead into phone numbers playing weird sounds, secret messages, and more. Now, people are finding life-size Fortnite llamas just hanging around out in the open.

The first llama was found in London, standing next to a phonebooth. Another one was found in Cologne, Germany (notably the location of Gamescom), and a third llama was located in Barcelona, Spain. The fanbase triangulated these llama locations, and was able to deduce the next one would be appearing in France. But before that, another one appeared in Warsaw, Poland. Whoops!

So now, there’s a concentrated effort in Europe to find llamas, and the North American Fortnite fanbase are still trying to figure out what the deal is with burgers in the desert. Meanwhile, Epic Games is teasing its July 12, 2018 season five launch with some intriguing imagery on Twitter.
