Fortnite’s Playground Mode Returns with New Features

Fortnite’s Playground Mode Returns with New Features

Fortnite ran a limited-time mode not long ago. It was called Playground mode and, although it was launched to a bit of a rough start, it did hit its stride and become a fun and useful addition to the game. Now, it’s making a return with the 5.1 patch.

Back in June 2018, the Fortnite Playground mode was pulled down very shortly after it launched, due to conjestion and other errors. Then it enjoyed a short relaunch in early July 2018. The mode is intended to give players a safe place to try out a variety of weapons and building techniques. This third time around, players in Playground mode will also be able to receive more loot, select their team, and ride around on all-terrain karts.

There are additional features that may be coming to Playground mode in the future, according to Epic. The mode might one day have 1v1 and 2v2 play, aim assist on controllers, the ability to edit other player’s structures, and improved traps.

Here’s to a smooth future for the mode, so that I might finally learn how to build well. Cheers!
