GTA Online’s Champagne Costs More than an In-Game Car

GTA Online’s Champagne Costs More than an In-Game Car

In Bethesda’s The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion, there was an early piece of DLC that gave the player armor for their horse. It was a bit expensive for something so useless, and therefore became a bit of a joke. In fact, a later sale would heavily discount all DLC except the horse armor, which became more expensive. It is looking like Grand Theft Auto Online has now added its own version of horse armor in the form of consumable champagne.

The item, called Bleuter’d Champagne Diamond, will cost $150,000 of in-game money. This money is able to be earned both in-game or through microtransactions, and the amount of $150,000 is actually more than the price of some high end cars. Truly, this champagne is for those in the lap of luxury looking to showboat.

The drink is a recurring item in the series, first appearing in Grand Theft Auto IV during the expansion entitled The Ballad of Gay Tony . It comes to GTA Online as part of the After Hours update.
