As we know, Marvel’s Spider-Man has quite a rogue’s gallery already. Mr. Negative and Kingpin have been known as important characters in the story for a while now, and E3 2018 added Shocker, Vulture, Rhino, and Electro. A voice actor accidentally confirmed Doctor Octopus as well. But we haven’t seen any straight-up boss fight footage yet in the game. Until now, that is. A Reddit post has shown footage of what may be an early boss encounter, or a story-related twist. Proceed at your own risk.
The footage is of a fight between Spider-Man, a bunch of goons, and The Kingpin. In earlier demos from E3, we know the Kingpin is a part of the story, giving Spider-Man information from prison as he moves to oppose Mr. Negative early on in the game. It looks like the boss fight against Kingpin is part of the beginning of the game, as it sets the events of the rest of the story in motion. It also appears to lead into Spidey’s new suit, as he’s wearing the classic suit in the footage.
