During EVO 2018, Arc System Works dropped a bomb for BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle . A total of nine new characters were announced. They will be released in three new character packs, all of which are set to release on August 6, 2018. Additionally, a new trailer showing off all the new characters contained a hint at what’s to come.
Each new character pack comprises one character each from Persona 4 Arena, BlazBlue, and Under Night In-Birth . No new RWBY characters have been introduced. In character pack 4, we get Mitsuru Kirijo, Izayoi, and Merkava. Character pack 5 includes Akihiko Sanada, Mai Natsume, and Yuzuriha. Finally, character pack 6 comes with Labrys, Nine the Phantom, and Mika. Each character pack is available for $4.99.
At the end of the EVO 2018 BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle trailer, goofy Arc System Works text reads, “A new fate intertwines.” The four icon logo splits into five. Clearly, BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle is not finished with new character reveals, and it seems like a new series is joining the group.
