Nintendo Announces Travis Strikes Again Release Date

Nintendo Announces Travis Strikes Again Release Date

In a tweet that more or less signaled the beginning of PAX West 2018, Nintendo revealed the release date for Suda 51 and Grasshopper Manufacture’s Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes . The game, which some fans are still confused as far as what it actually is, is set to come out on January 18, 2019.

Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes was originally revelaed, sort of, on stage at Nintendo’s original unveiling of the Nintendo Switch. At the time, Suda only had a key art visual to show, which told the fans that Travis Touchdown was back after a long absence.

Further information was revealed after that, and a subsequent Nintendo Direct presentation gave us actual gameplay footage. The game’s story involves Travis Touchdown and a new character who really wants to kill Travis getting sucked into an evil video game. It is set some time after the events of No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle . From there, the two characters have to work together to defeat various video game-inspired challenges. Partnerships with various indie game studios were annoucned along the way, which will see various games appearing within Travis Strikes Again in some form.
