Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Update Alters Challenger Difficulty

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Update Alters Challenger Difficulty

The first post-launch title update has arrived for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate , showing proof that Nintendo and the teams behind the game plan for some degree of upkeep. This update not only brings adjustments to some of the fighters, but it also makes a few changes to offline and online gameplay.

For offline play, the difficulty of approaching challengers has been adjusted. This is actually notable, as many players have felt like the challengers can be far too difficult at times for simple unlocks. For online play, Quickplay has been modified so that Preferred Rules are more of a priority. Battle Arenas have also been tweaked some for stability purposes.

Finally, while more specifics weren’t provided, the patch notes show that Donkey Kong, Link, Kirby, Luigi, Ice Climbers, Young Link, Olimar, Toon Link, Villager, Greninja, Pac-Man, Duck Hunt, and Isabelle have all been adjusted in some way. There’s no doubt the community has been digging deep to find out what has changed since the patch launched.

As a final note, if you have replays saved in your game, they will no longer be compatible with the new version. There is an option to convert them to video within the game though, if you want to keep your old ones.
