We have lots of better ideas about what could be going on with Death Stranding, Kojima Productions’ latest game with Hideo Kojima, Norman Reedus, and Guillermo del Toro. The game, which now has a November 8, 2019 release date, also has a number of details. It seems the PlayStation Store updated a bit early, spilling the beans ahead of the major announcements!
The PlayStation Store product page has since been removed, but images of the alleged leak have appeared online. People who commit to an early copy get all sorts of DLC and customization elements. For example, the in-game items you can get are the Gold Armor Plate, Gold Hat, Gold “Sam” Sunglasses, and Gold Speed Skeleton. The listing made sure to mention that all of these things could unlock via story progression. It also noted that people will get a PSN avatar of Chibi Ludens and a Death Stranding Dynamic Theme. As a reminder, Ludens is the Kojima Productions mascot character.
An official Death Stranding description also appeared on the preorder listing, which honestly provided more succinct information about the game than people have seen in a while. Here’s what it had to say:
Sam Bridges must brave a world transformed by the Death Stranding. Carrying the remnants of our future in his hands, he embarks on a journey to reunite the shattered world.
Think Sam will look good in all that gold on November 8, 2019?
