PUBG Cross-Play Kicks Off on Consoles

PUBG Cross-Play Kicks Off on Consoles

A major update has just appeared for PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds , and it is going to change the way people play the game. I mean that literally, and not figuratively. Update 4.3 is here and adds one of the most demanded features for the game. PUBG cross-play is now live.

Once people update to 4.3, PUBG cross-play will be in effect on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. You can hop into the same matchmaking pool for matches. The feature was first announced in August 2019, was tested in September 2019, and only now has made its official debut.

In addition to PUBG cross-play, some other major additions launched in update 4.3. A Survival Mastery system is now available. By doing things to help you survive, like fighting, looting, using items, and helping your allies, you will earn experience. Do enough, and maybe one day you’ll hit the level 500 level cap. You can see what you did to earn points in Match Summary and check out your playstyle in Mastery. You can even show off your progress and things you have done with the Survival Mastery PUBG ID.

Finally, there’s an exciting new bullpup shotgun in PUBG. The DBS holds 14 12-gauge rounds and initially only appears in Care Packages. You can have 2x to 6x scopes, to help you see your opponent. Plus, it can hit things from about 100m away. People may want to check it out and see if it helps increase their odds of survival as they play.
