Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines 2 Will Be Fashionably Late

Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines 2 Will Be Fashionably Late

Delays aren’t uncommon in the world of video games. Especially when a title in question didn’t have a definite release date to begin with. Which means people shouldn’t be too shocked that Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines 2 isn’t quite ready to leave its crypt. It turns out a delay has pushed it out of Q1 2020.

What may scare people more than the threat of intimidating vampires is the fact that, as of now, Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines 2 has no firm release window. When bringing up the delay, the Hardsuit Labs statement from CEO Andy Kipling and writer Brian Mitsoda only said, “Although Vampire: The Masquerade: Bloodlines 2 will still launch in 2020, we have decided to value quality over making the Q1 launch window.”

On the plus side, the insight into what’s going on revealed exactly why this Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines 2 delay is happening. The previous game launched too early and needed more work. So, to keep that from happening again and ensuring a better launch, the sequel was pushed back. Apparently, had the original Q1 2020 release window been kept, the same thing would have happened again.

Currently, details on the game are slim. Players are a new vampire who were attacked during a Mass Embrace and turned. They now are a part of the Seattle vampire community and, as a victim of what happened, you’re a part of the investigations. You’ll choose your character’s background, clan, faction, morality, and story choices, determining the course of the entire game and which ending you’ll get.
