Super Mario Maker 2 Getting a Little The Legend of Zelda

Super Mario Maker appearance made by link

Super Mario Maker 2 Getting a Little The Legend of Zelda

When it comes to Super Mario Maker 2, people have been wondering if and when more content would appear. Aside from an update that allowed people to play with friends, there haven’t been any really substantial releases. That will change on December 5, 2019, as the 2.0.0 update will add new elements that will totally change how the game is played and a new mode. Link will be a playable character!

Technically, it will be Mario who becomes Link. The Master Sword power-up will be added in this Super Mario Maker 2 update. When Mario touches it in a level with the Super Mario Bros. game style, he turns into the iconic hero. As Link, he has a whole new moveset. You can attack with the Master Sword, perform a running sword dash attack, do a down-thrust sword attack, use a bow and arrow for ranged attacks, drop bombs to destroy items or flip switches, and block projectiles with shields.

More traditional Super Mario elements will show up in Super Mario Maker 2’ s 2.0.0 update. Two enemies are coming back. Pokey, the spiked cactus, will appear and can have its height edited. Spike, the little lizard who coughs up spiky balls or snowballs, will be able to be placed. There will also be Dash Blocks to help Mario speed up, Frozen Coins that need to be melted by fire to be collected, and P Blocks that can go from invisible to visible.

The new mode is called Ninji Speedruns. In this area, Nintendo-created courses will appear. Your goal will be to try and complete each one as quickly as possible. While you’re doing your best, you’ll see the “ghosts” of other players who also went through the level. Mii costumes and stamps can be unlocked in this mode.
