So you were saving your pennies for the Xbox 360? Well, keep saving because EB Games and GameStop have just announced their prices for Xbox 360 bundles and they are not cheap. The prices range from a mere $600 bundle at EB Games to a $1200 bundle at Gamestop. Each of these bundles range in price depending on the extras that come with them.
For instance, a core bundle at Gamestop will include the Xbox 360 console, Perfect Dark Zero: Limited Edition, Project Gotham Racing 3, Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, Dead or Alive 4, Call of Duty 2, an Xbox 360 controller, Xbox 360 memory unit, and a one year product replacement plan.
The most expensive bundle ($1200) will give you the console, Perfect Dark Zero: Limited Edition, Project Gotham Racing 3, Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, Dead or Alive 4, Call of Duty 2, GUN, Quake 4, Tony Hawk’s American Wasteland, Condemned, Maddden NFL 06, Kameo: Elements of Power, a wireless controller, a play and charge kit, a rechargeable battery, an Xbox Live 12 Month Card, and a one year product replacement plan.
EB Games is offering two bundles. The core bundle will cost you $600 and the ultimate bundle will be priced at $700.
The core bundle includes a game console, wired controller, composite A/V cable. Xbox Live Silver, Xbox Live Gold 30-Day Trial, Perfect Dark Zero: Limited Edition, Dead or Alive 4, Kameo: Elements of Power, Project Gotham Racing 3, an extra wired controller, and a memory unit (required to save games without the hard drive).
The ultimate bundle includes a game console, wireless controller, combination high-definition component and standard A/V cable, 20GB hard drive, ethernet cable, headset, bonus media remote, Xbox Live Silver, Xbox Live Gold 30-day trial, Perfect Dark Zero: Limited Edition, Dead or Alive 4, Kameo: Elements of Power, Project Gotham Racing 3, an extra wireless controller, a play and charge kit (for extra controller), and a rechargeable battery pack (for included controller).
But what if you don’t want all that stuff? You can still get previously announced $299 and $399 bundles at places like Best Buy. Unfortunately, Best Buy does not pre-order systems, so it is first-come, first-serve and this may mean that you will be camped out in a long line overnight outside your nearest Best Buy in order to get yourself a console or you may not get one on the launch date. But if you pre-order one from GameStop or EB Games to guarantee yourself a console, you will have to dish out the extra dough for a bundle pack.
And the fun doesn’t end there. You can expect games for the system to cost around sixty bucks.
