Groove to Any Song You Want with Newest Dancing Game

Groove to Any Song You Want with Newest Dancing Game

There are a ton of versions of dancing games out there, but many of still wish that we could put our own music into the game. That concept may not be too far off. Codemasters (most known for the Colin McRae Rally games) has announced they are creating a new game for the PS2 called Dance Factory. You can put any CD in and the game will automatically generate dance steps for it.

“This is an incredible development in social gaming and will give anyone the ability to choose the tracks they want to groove to on a dance mat,” said Nicky Hewitt, director of marketing at Codemasters. “Rather than be limited by a built-in playlist, the freedom Dance Factory offers enables it to span across all music tastes. This freedom also means the game won’t be a dated forced play list-you can as easily play it with a classic disco track or the current number one. It’s a great unique feature and just one of the many we’ve yet to reveal on this exciting project that is set to deliver the most accessible and fun dance mat game ever.”

The game is set to release in Europe in the middle of 2006. No US release date is known yet.
