In-Fusio announced at the CTIA IT Wireless and Entertainment 2005 event that they have secured a three-year agreement with Microsoft for the mobile rights to the Halo franchise. The first applications are due later this year in North America. Other regions are set to follow.
The agreement allows In-Fusio to develop and publish “downloadable and embedded” mobile Halo products. This could include wallpaper, screensavers, ringtones, and games.
“We’re working very closeley with Bungie throughout the process,” Julian Corbett, In-Fusio’s Vice President of Business Development, explained. “And we’re going to be combining our specialty in mobile entertainment with the Halo universe…obviously, we won’t be putting the Xbox Halo on cell phones, but we see a number of compelling ways to expand the franchise to mobile.”
