GTA Killer Writes Letter to Jack Thompson

GTA Killer Writes Letter to Jack Thompson

None

Jack Thompson is in the midst of defending the families of two slain police officers and a police dispatcher in a shooting in Fayetteville, AL. Thompson argues that Moore’s obsession with Grand Theft Auto caused the deaths. Game Politics has published parts of a three-page letter that Moore has written to Thompson.

“A major part of my defense rested on video games and the effect it had on June 7, 2003. Judge Moore of Fayette Country ruled that the video game evidence was ineligible in court because there was no factual basis to support my evidence…Very untrue!…This crippled my defense and my lawyer had to make ‘last min.’ arrangements on how he was going to present my case.”

“Every black juror was struck for one reason or another. Some reasons decent some indecent. The whole juror -jury was white and none of my peers.”

“I wish to help in anyway I can and my heart goes out to the families of the victims. I can’t change the past and I understand an apology won’t give any lives back.”

“But your video game argument will find little basis if any at all in the Fayette courtroom. If I couldn’t use it as a defense while facing capital punishment, my life. How can any lawyer do so for the victims of the family, for money?”
