Next Installment of Ghost Recon Named

None

Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter is the official name of the next installment in the popular squad-based action franchise by Ubisoft.

The plot? Imagine the year 2013 after an uprising in Mexico City when warfare no longer has clear enemies or clear boundaries. The United States army has an Integrated Warfighter System (IWS), a complex combination of new technologies that turns an ordinary soldier into a fighting machine using advanced weapons systems, satellite communication devices, and enhanced life survivability. Cross-Com, a communication device using satellite technology attached to the soldier’s monocle, allows for complete and constant battlefield awareness. These fighting machines are known as the Ghosts.

You, the gamer, get to be Captain Scott Mitchell who commands the Ghosts and Special Forces allies to save the president of the United States, recover stolen nuclear codes, and destroy rebellious soldiers who are determined to wreak mass havoc on anything that crosses their paths. Basically, your mission is to save the world.

Sounds pretty cool, huh? Well, based on military research, these Ghosts are very possibly how we will be fighting real war in the next decade or so. Again, Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter will have fantastic multiplayer capabilities that you will be able to experience beginning the holiday season of 2005.
