A twenty-two year-old Korean soldier obsessed with PC war games has killed eight of his fellow soldiers. The man had complained about bullying by the soldiers. When nothing was changing, he tossed a grenade into his barracks and then shot other soldiers in their beds.
One witness commented that the attack was so vicious that some soldiers thought South Korea was being invaded.
A military inquiry determined that the man’s addiction to video games caused him to no longer distinguish fantasy from reality.
