Nintendo has announced that Super Mario Strikers will be released on December 5 for the GameCube. The game will allow up to four players to battle in five-on-five soccer matches with classic Nintendo characters.
“People have described this frenetic game as soccer meets Super Smash Bros.,” commented George Harrison, Nintendo of America’s Senior Vice President of Marketing and Corporate Communications. “Soccer remains one of the most popular sports in the world, and Super Mario Strikers gives players the tools they always wished they could unleash on their opponents.”
The game is rated E for Everyone.
