Since it’s launch three months ago, sales of the Nintendo DS have now exceeded six million with Europe purchasing one million of these units. Great Britain was the nation that purchased the highest number of units by snatching up a phenomenal 250,000.
Jim Merrick, Nintendo of Europe’s senior director of European Marketing spoke. “The European launch of Nintendo DS has been a massive success with sales shattering all previous records in the opening weekend and remaining consistently strong. European consumers have adopted Nintendo’s sense of fun and innovation to give fantastic support to the Nintendo DS.”
