Madden 06 Unveiled

Madden 06 Unveiled

None

The only official NFL video game we will be seeing this fall was unveiled at ESPNZone in New York City on June 28, 2005. Madden 06, produced by (who else?) Electronic Arts, was displayed to its audience that included Daunte Culpepper, Tony Gonzalez, Byron Leftwich, Michael Strahan and Donavan McNabb, who graces the cover of the newest Madden.

The development of the football game is complete, according to EA reps, although there is some tweaking to be done before the game is released. Madden 06 will feature a brand new superstar mode that puts the player as an up-and-coming rookie trying to make a name for himself in the NFL. The mode is complete with off-the-field drama as well.

This is the first Madden game to be released since EA gained exclusive rights to the NFL in 2004. Much scrutiny has hit the company since this decision and many were speculating that Madden 06 would look like every other Madden to hit the shelves in the past. Superstar mode gives us an idea that EA worked to put innovation into this new game. We shall see when the game is released in early August.
