Many of you who have been following the recent career of Jack Thompson, a Florida lawyer and self-proclaimed anti-game crusader, will be happy to hear that the Florida Bar is investigating Thompson.
Of course, Thompson could not go out with out a fight. He has already successfully sued the Florida Bar Association once before. He is upset about this investigation and has written an e-mail to Paul Hill of the Bar’s Board of Governors that states, in part,
“…I have repeatedly asked that The Bar engage with me in discussion or communication to try and resolve this dispute. The bar, including its Board of Governors, refuses even to discuss the matter in any fashion whatsoever… I will be delighted to speak with any (insurance) carriers…about The Bar’s ongoing, recidivist, tortious conduct which has clearly given rise to one or more causes of action.”
Thompson has also requested any e-mails concerning him sent by The Bar as far back as August 2004. We will keep you posted as the investigation continues.
