Retro Studios, best known for their amazing work on the Metroid Prime franchise, may just be tackling another massive Nintendo IP.
According to an IGN report from Saturday, it is currently rumored that Retro Studios is taking on development responsibilities for a Wii version of Donkey Kong.
Hard details as to what shape the game will take, if it in fact exists at all, are still up in the air. However, it is most likely the game will be a platform adventure in the mold of Rare's classics, Donkey Kong Country and Donkey Kong 64.
Of course, none of this has been confirmed by Nintendo, but stay tuned and we'll get you the full low-down Tuesday, June 15th.
