Another Rockstar game, another set of rumors about its largest of franchises, Grand Theft Auto. Max Payne 3 just hit shelves a couple of days ago and has yet to come out on PC, but the latest in the long-benched series of slow-motion third-person shooters had our own Josh Engen praising its direction.
The rumors regarding it have started to roll in, though, and they’re more than a little strange. This time out, a file found on the game’s disc ostensibly contains a list of almost 100 vehicles, from cars to planes, many of which include model names as well as handling stats and camera angle data. Since the last two would have very little to do with Max Payne 3, and many of the names are recognizable from previous editions of GTA, it seems possible that this file is at least a partial chronicle of the vehicles that will be in Grand Theft Auto V. That said, what would such a file be doing on the disc for a completely unrelated game from a different franchise?
This is why rumors make my head hurt.
