A recent post on the Official U.S. PlayStation Blog revealed some new info about the upcoming Sly Cooper game, Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time. According to Glen Egen, president of Sanzaru Games, the game will not only come out on the PS3, but also on the PS Vita sometime this fall. Egen revealed that both the PS3 and PS Vita copies of the game will launch on the same day, though the exact date has not yet been decided.
The portable game will be a faithful remake of the PS3 game, although the Vita version will also have touch and motion controls in additional to traditional button controls. The game will also make use of the PS3 and PS Vita’s cross-save compatibility, allowing gamers to transfer their games from one platform to another.
In addition to all this new PS Vita news, Egen also revealed that Carmelita Fox would be returning as a playable character in Thieves in Time. Carmelita will control in third-person shooter style, as opposed to Sly who controls in a more traditional action game style. Egen also unveiled a few screenshots of Carmelita being rendered for the first time on the PS3.
