Unchained Blades Hitting American PSPs Next Week

XSEED Games has announced that Japanese first-person dungeon-crawler RPG Unchained Blades will coming to America… for the PSP!

Yes, it’s an obscure Japanese import title coming to a currently out-of-date console. Hey, I’ve heard crazier ideas. The game is set to come out on Tuesday, June 26th, next week.

Unchained Blades will be arriving on 29.99 via the PSN. Currently, we have no idea whether or not the game will be making its way to the Vita. Publisher XSEED says that is entirely up to Sony Computer Entertainment of America.

Unchained Blades puts you in control of a dragon stripped of his natural powers. You run around on the backs of titans, fighting through dungeons and collecting enemy creatures in a sort of darker version of the classic Pokémon-style gameplay. The game apparently has 60 hours of gameplay, making it on the long side for a PSP title.

Unchained Blades will also be coming to the 3DS later this year, where it might post larger sales. We will just have to wait and see if the PSP still has any life left in it this gaming generation.
